Modelling & Animation
Some things can’t be filmed: a product not yet made, a building not yet built, a process that is hard to explain. With 3D modelling and animation we make them visible; with motion graphics we make complex information clear in a few seconds.
What do we do in 3D modelling and animation?
- 3D product modelling and visualisation
- Architectural and interior visualisation
- Motion graphics and animated infographics
- Logo animation and title sequences
- Character and explainer animations
- Animation and effects for commercials
How does an animation project work?
We clarify the idea and where it will be used, then propose a script and visual style. We first get the flow approved on a rough draft, then complete the work with modelling, lighting and animation. Finally we turn it into a film with sound and music.
- Idea and usage We pin down the subject, the target audience and where the animation will be used.
- Script and style We propose a script, a visual style and, where needed, a storyboard for your approval.
- Animatic We get the flow and timing approved on a rough animatic; changes are quick and easy at this stage.
- Modelling and animation We complete the scenes with modelling, materials, lighting and animation.
- Sound and delivery We finish the film with music, sound effects and voice-over, and deliver it for every format it will be used in.
Who is 3D modelling and animation for?
Brands that want to present a product before it is made, explain a technical subject simply, or add motion to their communication.
Motion graphics or 3D animation?
Motion graphics animate type, icons, charts and 2D illustration to explain information quickly; they suit figures, processes, services and short social videos. 3D animation models a product, machine or space in three dimensions and shows it from every angle; it is used for realistic product presentations and architectural visualisation. The two can also be combined in one project.
What determines the cost of 3D animation?
The cost of animation depends on its length and the level of detail in each scene. We quote once the script and style are settled:
- Length of the animation and number of scenes
- Level of model detail and expected realism
- Whether technical drawings or CAD files are available
- Whether character animation is needed
- Voice-over, music and number of versions delivered
3D modelling and animation in Ankara
Our office is in Beştepe, Ankara. With Ankara brands we can review product and project details in person and work directly with technical teams. Because animation projects run on files, we also work remotely with brands across Türkiye and abroad.
Frequently asked questions
Can a product be visualised in 3D before it is made?
Yes, it is one of the most common uses of 3D modelling. From technical drawings, CAD files or dimensioned sketches we can produce realistic images and animations of the product, so you can present it in catalogues, on your website or at trade fairs before production is finished.
What files do you need for an animation?
Technical drawings, CAD or 3D files, dimensions and material and colour references for the product or space speed things up. If these don’t exist we can model from photographs and measurements; the schedule and budget are then planned accordingly.
Animation or live action?
Animation suits things that are hard, expensive or impossible to film: a product not yet made, the inside of a machine or an abstract process. Live action is strong for showing people, places and real emotion. The two can also be combined in the same film.
