E-Commerce Website Design
An e-commerce site is a store where visitors find the product they want and buy it in a few steps. We work with ikas, Shopify, WooCommerce, Ticimax and IdeaSoft: we choose the right platform for your business together, design your store around your brand, set up payment, shipping and marketplace connections, and hand it over ready to sell.
What does e-commerce website design include?
- Choosing the right platform: ikas, Shopify, WooCommerce, Ticimax or IdeaSoft
- Category structure, product pages, cart and checkout flow
- Mobile-first store design or adapting a ready-made theme to your brand
- Payment and shipping integrations
- Marketplace, ERP and accounting connections
- Migration of product, customer and order data
- SEO foundations for category and product pages
- Maintenance, development and support after launch
How is an e-commerce site set up and opened for sales?
We start by talking about what you sell, how you sell it and where you want to grow, and choose the platform together at the end of that conversation. We carry the approved design into setup and integrations. Before launch we run test orders to check payment, shipping and notifications end to end, and show your team how to use the store panel. If needed, we shoot the product photography too.
- Discovery and platform choice We talk through your product range, sales channels and budget, and choose the right platform together.
- Catalogue and checkout flow We plan the category structure, product attributes and the buying journey from cart to payment.
- Store design We design the home, category, product and cart pages mobile-first and present them for your approval.
- Setup and integrations We set up the store, connect payment, shipping and any other services needed, and import your products.
- Testing, launch and support We test every step with trial orders, launch the store, train your team on the panel and support you afterwards.
Who do we build e-commerce sites for?
Brands starting to sell online for the first time, renewing their e-commerce site or moving it to another platform.
Which e-commerce platform should you choose?
The right platform depends on how many products you sell, which channels you sell through, whether you plan to sell abroad and who will look after the site technically.
Because we work with ikas, Shopify, WooCommerce, Ticimax and IdeaSoft, we recommend a platform based on your business, not on a single vendor. You can think of them in three groups:
| Platform | How it works | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| ikas, Ticimax, IdeaSoft | Subscription-based hosted platforms developed in Türkiye; hosting and updates are handled by the provider. | Brands selling in Türkiye that want local payment, shipping and marketplace connections set up quickly |
| Shopify | A widely used subscription-based hosted platform, extended through its app store. | Brands selling abroad or planning to expand into several countries |
| WooCommerce | An open-source e-commerce plugin running on WordPress, hosted on your own server. | Content-heavy sites and brands that want full flexibility in code and can look after the server or leave it to us |
What does an e-commerce site that sells need?
If visitors can’t find the product or get stuck at checkout, the sale is lost. We build our stores to reduce those losses:
- Category and product pages that load fast and are easy to browse on mobile
- Filters and on-site search
- Clear price, stock, shipping and returns information
- A short cart and checkout flow
- Trusted payment options and easy-to-find contact details
- Tracking that measures sales and ad conversions
A store that can be found in search
On an e-commerce site, visitors from search engines mostly land on category and product pages. We build these pages from the start so that search engines and AI search can read them:
- A separate title, description and meaningful URL for every category and product
- Product structured data (schema.org: price and availability)
- Duplicate content control on filter and sort pages
- Correct handling of sold-out and discontinued products
- Fast-loading product images
- Permanent (301) redirects from old URLs when changing platforms
E-commerce site or corporate website?
If the site itself will do the selling, you need an e-commerce site: product catalogue, stock, cart, payment and shipping are all part of it. If your goal is to present your brand and collect quotes or applications, a corporate website is the better starting point; you can add e-commerce when you are ready to sell.
What determines the cost of an e-commerce site?
The cost of an e-commerce site depends mostly on the platform chosen, how custom the design is and how many connections need to be set up. Platform subscriptions and payment provider fees are separate items paid to the provider; we discuss them separately at the quote stage. Once we understand what you need, we prepare an itemised quote.
- Platform: a subscription-based hosted platform or WooCommerce
- Adapting a ready-made theme or a custom design
- Number of products and categories, variant structure
- Payment, shipping, marketplace, ERP or accounting integrations
- Importing products or migrating from an existing site
- Whether product photography and descriptions are included
- Expectations for maintenance and support after launch
Frequently asked questions
Which e-commerce platforms do you work with?
We work with ikas, Shopify, WooCommerce, Ticimax and IdeaSoft. Because we are not tied to a single platform, we base our recommendation on your product range, sales channels and budget.
Can the store be connected to marketplaces?
In most cases, yes. Through the platform’s marketplace integrations or an integration service, you can manage products, stock and orders from one place. Which marketplaces are supported depends on the platform; we check this together when choosing it.
Can you move our existing store to another platform?
Yes. We migrate product, category, customer and order data to the new platform and permanently (301) redirect every changed URL to its new address. After the move we monitor Search Console and fix indexing issues quickly.
Can we manage products and orders ourselves?
Yes. Adding products, updating prices and stock, running campaigns and tracking orders are all done from the platform’s admin panel. Before launch we show your team how to use it, and we are there to help afterwards.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. After launch we can take care of store maintenance, new pages and campaign needs, and speed and search improvements. We also offer advertising and SEO services to bring visitors to your store.
